Sea Scouts, a co-educational program within the Boy Scouts of America for youth aged 14-20, has been fostering enhanced citizenship and maritime skills for over a century. Through hands-on experiences in water safety, boating, and outdoor activities, Sea Scouts gain valuable knowledge and skills in a unique, adventurous environment. Units, known as ships, are located nationwide on various water bodies, offering a range of boating experiences from small motorboats to large sailing vessels. Participants have the opportunity to earn certifications in areas such as SCUBA, boating safety, and CPR, while advancing through ranks from Apprentice to Quartermaster, developing leadership and seamanship skills along the way.
